CNC Machinist
LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking experienced CNC machinists for an opportunity in Ladson, South Carolina.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
The CNC Machinist will set up complex parts that can include many angled, surfaces, pockets, steps tapers and related features on different planes. Must be able to read prints, perform complex dimensional calculations understand and be able to read geometric dimensioning and tolerances.
Qualifications and requirements:
- Knowledge, Skills and Training required to perform the Job and/or on the job training:
- Ability to read and understand drawings including geometric dimensioning and tolerances
- Use of precision measurement tools
- Able to maintain accurate part counts
- Knowledge of tooling and inserts
- Able to determine optimal feed and speeds
- Ability to determine tool wear, dull and broken tools and to change tools
- Ability to calculate tool offsets
- Ability to maintain close tolerances
- Knowledge of Math including algebra and geometry
- Must be willing to perform other functions and duties as assigned by managers and supervisors.
- Must be willing to work any shift.
- Must be willing to work overtime (as requested).
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from the job site.
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
