Senior Metal Fabrication

 

LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking a Metal Fabrication Technician for an opportunity in Lynnwood, WA

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

 

The Senior Metal Fabrication Aide performs skilled tasks and provides assistance to other employees in the department as needed.

 

  • Determine most appropriate sequence for punching, braking, machining, etc.
  • Determine and set up operating speeds, stops, gauges, stroke Align and index parts, dies, punches, ram, pressure pads and other fixtures and tooling as applicable
  • Use templates, patterns, fixtures and other tooling and aids as applicable Make special fixtures or aids to perform the machine operations
  • Cut raw materials to rough dimensions
  • Set up and operate basic and more specialized machines
  • Deburr, sand, trim, touch-up and smooth parts and materials
    Measure parts and materials
  • Apply part numbers, color code materials, count and (un)wrap parts/materials Clean and oil machines and equipment
  • Operate Chem Film Line
  • Any other task assigned by supervisor or management

 

 

 Qualifications and requirements:

 

  • 2+ years of experience or training in the field
  • Knowledge of machining, forming and finishing characteristics of materials being fabricated; Basic knowledge of all modern fabrication methods and techniques and thorough knowledge relating to machine on which specialized
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and related specifications and instructions; Ability to use all applicable precision measuring instruments including micrometer, height and depth gauges, calipers, surface plates
  • High school diploma or equivalent;
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from the job site.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
