Program Manager

 

LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking a Program Manager for an opportunity in Orange City, Iowa.

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities: 

 

The Program Manager will be responsible for receiving composite products or project concepts from customers and moving that product or concept through the phases of development and commercialization into full rate production.

  • Manages multiple projects concurrently including scheduling all activities in project management program, schedule production time, monitor all tasks, and lead kickoff and status meetings.
  • Manage quoting activities assigned by business development, existing customers/products, pull technical teams together, create and manage cost models, source/quote materials, lead assessment meetings.
  • Manage production transfers, lead transfer kick off meetings, coordinate and schedule new equipment procurement, new process training, new hire training, shop aids, tooling transfers, process transfers, and administer necessary paperwork.
  • Provide production support through RMA Monitoring/resolution, RMA evaluation, customer contact, lead engineering change process, lead and evaluate customer revisions, coordinate material changes, troubleshoot scrap, communicate issues and understand cost impacts.
  • Forecast revenue
  • Develop SOW’s with deliverables in collaboration with customers
  • Develop plans, budgets, and timelines for completion of products.
  • Selects resources for products and plans
  • Communicates progress and statuses to management as well as the customer.
  • Works with sales and customers to establish, manage and control project scopes and deliverables.
  • Create, maintain and communicate project budgets, spending and financial status indicators
  • Direct multi-disciplinary teams to and from product concept, through development and onto complete production level commercialization.
  • Ensures accurate documents/specifications are generated for new product designs and manufacturing processes and documents are transferred to vendors and relevant internal groups.
  • Ensures the output of product development is manufacture able and transferable into production.
  • Contributes to developing design platforms and innovative solutions to design problems for the future.
  • Develops an understanding of existing patent landscape surrounding area of expertise.
  • Supports marketing groups in preparation for presentations, advertisements, training material, and sales catalogs and brochures and generate new sales with existing customers. 

Qualifications and Requirements: 

  • Knowledge of thermoset polymers and processing
  • Experience with presenting, communicating, and leading groups of teams
  • Experience with aerospace process specifications and qualifications
  • Prior participation in a AS9100/Nadcap certified organization
  • Knowledge of FAA component certification
  • Must have experience with conflict management
  • Advanced Excel, Smartsheet, Project Management software
  • Must be US Citizen/Permanent Resident (ITAR)
