Quality Inspector

 

LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking a Quality Inspector for an opportunity in Fort Worth, TX.

 

POSITION SUMMARY

 

  • To perform FAA inspections on product. 
  • Track, analyze and report FAA metrics. 
  • Assist Quality Engineers with activities when not performing FAA inspections. 
  • Audit FAA inspected product. 
  • Provide support in SAP, Quality Software and MES software. 
  • Provide back up support for department QE’s including inspector direction 
  • Perform routine administrative duties in support of Quality Control department.

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE 

 

  • Three years of quality experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment, or similar experience in industries that manufacture and assemble complex precision products.
  • Prior FAA knowledge/interaction/activity
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to work with other software applications as necessary
  • Blueprint knowledge.
  • Passage of the FAA ODA Unit Member training
  • Preferred:
    • FAA knowledge
    • FAA Inspection Certification
    • Basic Manufacturing knowledge
    • SAP
    • Moderate GD&T knowledge
    • Knowledgeable about and have experience in the following areas: First Article inspections, In process inspection, Final Assembly inspection, Special processes, Destructive and nondestructive testing, Manufacturing processes, Assembly processes, quality system understanding
  • High School Diploma or equivalent, plus additional specialized courses or short-term training (one year or less) with minimum of 5 years’ experience OR Associates Degree, Technical/Business School Certificate or Diploma, Skilled Trades Apprenticeship, or other post high school training (two years duration) with minimum of 3 years’ experience
  • A&P License preferred
  • US Citizen or Permanent Resident is required.
