Strategic Sourcing Manager
LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking a Strategic Sourcing Manager for an opportunity in Atlanta, GA.
Providing strategic leadership and managing sourcing activities. This resource will facilitate supplier presentations/evaluations, engage and collaborate with consultants and other subject matter experts. Source food products and suppliers for evaluation; establish strong Supplier relationships and coach for metric improvements; consistently explore new routes to market to reduce costs and optimize supply chain; negotiate cost of goods, shipping and general business term; resolve escalated Supplier issues; proactively prevent food waste; visit Supplier sites and attend tradeshow, as relevant; develop and present business cases as required. Needs experience with total cost of ownership models, decision making metrics and spreadsheet development. .
Requirements
• Education: Bachelor's degree required
• Minimum of 2 years in a professional environment required
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in supply chain, strategic sourcing, contract management and/or category management – airline and/or food service experience is helpful
• Supply chain management, negotiations, RFP/RFI, Total Cost of Ownership
• Event sourcing and negotiations experience preferred.
• Should be competent in financial assessment and comparison of different options, working with senior leadership, communication, presentation skills, and value-based decision analysis.
• Knowledge of, and experience in, SAP and Ariba
