CNC Machinist
LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking a CNC Machinist for an opportunity in Fredonia, Kansas.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Safely operate computer numeric controlled (CNC) production equipment within work order schedule to ensure on-time delivery and in accordance with zero defect culture.
- Produce parts at or exceeding the recommended standard. May require deburr and parts blending as needed.
- Measure dimensions of finished parts to ensure conformance to specifications using precision instruments, templates and fixtures.
- Review program specifications to determine and set machine operations and sequencing, finished workpiece dimensions and numerical control sequences
- Requests maintenance and repair of equipment as needed; verbalizes knowledge of programming errors as noted.
- Follow OSHA regulations and requirements and understands Material Safety Data Sheet.
Qualifications and requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
Familiarity with machining centers, work orders, written instructions/blueprints and corrective actions.
Ability to sit for extended periods, working at a desk and/or attending meetings.
Use various computer and office equipment as well as be able to move throughout the office and manufacturing area in order to talk/hear or otherwise communicate with employees, management, customers, vendors, and others.
Noise level in the work environment ranges from quite to loud.
Employee will be required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when working on the plant floor.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from the job site.
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
