Role and Responsibilities

Position Summary

The Warehouse Coordinator position is responsible for coordinating the daily activities of Material Handlers to maximize efficiencies. Process shipping and receiving documents for inbound and outbound shipments. Check both inbound and outbound shipments for accuracy.

Continuous Improvement

Demonstrate active participation and personal accountability in the continuous improvement process of Sokol. This includes understanding and engaging in our company’s Cultural Beliefs an Core Values attitude, documenting observations, method change recommendations, understanding results metrics and professional training.

Primary

·         Coordinate activity of Material Handlers.

·         Assign tasks based on Labor Planner and manpower.

·         Check-in Drivers

·         Prepare shipment documentation (BOL, packing list, COA’s).

·         Maintain clean and organized warehouse.

·         Oversee all Material Handlers tasks to ensure completion.

·         Mentor Material Handlers to meet their objectives.

·         Special projects / ad-hoc reporting as requested.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

High School Diploma or equivalent formal education

3-5 years of experience in a Coordinator role in Warehouse/Shipping and Receiving Department

LSS or other Continuous Improvement training

·         Trained and fully functional on all job responsibilities of Material Handlers

·         Safety Awareness

·         Strong written and oral communication skills

·         Computer literacy – MS Word, Excel, Outlook

·         Flexibility, willingness, time urgency

·         Ability to analyze a situation and resolve routine problems

·         Ability to prioritize tasks in changing situations

·         Detail oriented and the ability to identify errors

·         Ability to motivate oneself and others to complete tasks

·         Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

·         Accuracy in basic math computations

·         Must be dependable and trustworthy

·         Certified Forklift Driver
