Electrical Engineer

 

LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking an Electrical Engineer for an opportunity in Georgetown, DE.

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Provide technical direction to the Electrical Project team to facilitate timely task completion. 
  • Interface with CMS/IFE Vendor and other Project Design groups (Interiors, Structures, etc...) to define integration design elements.
  • Approve all project documentation. Review documents drawings and ECO’s for technical accuracy.
  • Ensure all design and developmental activities are planned and completed by project team personnel.
  • Coordinate support of electrical substantiation when required.
  • Manage supplier tasking and ensure accuracy and timelines of deliverables. 
  • Facilitate the communication and interaction amongst supporting organization functional representatives.
  • Participate with the preparation and conduction of the Project Kick-Off Meetings, including PDR and CDR.
  • Prepare periodic management and/or customer reports and presentations as assigned by the Project Engineer or Engineering Manager.
  • Participate in Project Meetings as required by the Project SOW.
  • Ensure that design elements conform to the agreed upon written customer requirements as defined by the SOW and are developed and delivered to meet the project schedule, organizations quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform engineering calculations, review, and approval of vendor specification drawings. 
  • Prepare Advance Equipment Material requests for long-lead materials. 
  • Provide feedback regarding employee performance on a project team to the functional managers for evaluation.
  • Recommend new processes where needed for quality improvement, cost reduction, and on-time delivery.
  • Responsible for initial / recurrent training requirements

 

Qualifications and requirements:

  • B.S. Electrical Engineering 
  • Background in the electrical sciences field including direct experience with modern civil avionics systems and aerospace practices
  • 8 Years of design and analysis experience
  • STC, aircraft modifications and completions experience
  • Proficient with CAD software and 2 years, direct work experience
  • Proficient with Word,Excel, PowerPoint
