Maintenance Technician
LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking Maintenance Technicians with experience installing and repairing industrial machinery for an opportunity in Kinston, NC.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
The maintenance technician dismantles, moves, assembles, installs, and repairs industrial machinery and equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, drawings, or verbal instructions. They dismantle equipment and machines using hammers, wrenches, crowbars, and other hand tools; move machinery and equipment using hoists, dollies, rollers, and trucks; assemble and install equipment such as conveyors and tram rails using hand and power tools; construct foundations; align machines; perform scheduled inspection and maintenance. They also set up and operate machine tools and fabrication machinery to rework or make new parts. Combined discipline in both Mechanical and Electrical skills sets is preferred, but core skills in either/or will also be strongly considered.
Qualifications and requirements:
- 3+ years installing and repairing industrial machinery.
- Must be willing to perform other functions and duties as assigned by managers and supervisors.
- Must be willing to work any shift. This is a 24/7 facility.
- Must be willing to work overtime (as requested).
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from the job site.
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
