Frame & Alignment Technician

LAUNCH TransTechs is seeking a Frame & Alignment Technician to complete fabrication, alignments, repair frames, welding and the truck body repairs according to specifications.

Shift: 1st, M- F

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour, depending on experience

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Fit and weld replacement parts into place using necessary tools and welding equipment, and grind down welds to smooth them, using power grinders and other tools.
• Inspect repaired vehicles for dimensional accuracy and test drive them to ensure proper alignment and handling.
• Chain or clamp frames and sections to frame machines that use hydraulic pressure to align damaged components.
• Remove damaged sections of vehicles using a cutting torch or plasma cutter, air grinders, and install replacement parts using necessary tools or welding equipment.
• Removal and installation of the radiator, air to air, and suspension parts, etc.
• Ability to perform minor body work and fiberglass repairs a plus.
• Remove and transfer dry van bodies from chassis’.
• Maintain work area cleanliness.
• Any other duties assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• High School diploma or GED and 4+ years of mechanical experience.
• Experienced in steel and aluminum welding. 
• Must possess own tools.
• Valid Driver's license.
• ASE Diesel Certifications Strongly Preferred.
• CDL Preferred, or able/willing to obtain.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check. 

Working Conditions:

Shop, office, yard, vehicle environment, may require lifting of up to 70 lbs., at least once a day.
