Diesel Mechanic

LAUNCH TransTechs is seeking Diesel Mechanics to perform routine and preventative maintenance on diesel-powered trucks in West Sacramento, CA.

Shift: 1st, M - F 7am - 4pm

Pay: $22 - $30 per hour, depending on experience

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Routine and preventative maintenance on diesel-powered trucks.
• Build, rebuild and repair all parts of automotive equipment.
• Diagnose any mechanical, electrical, and any other breakdown or failure.
• Perform all types of repairs with limited supervision.
• Correct any structural repairs on the company's fleet.
• When applicable use welding skills.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications and requirements:

• The equivalent of High School Diploma or GED and 6+ year's diesel mechanic experience.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen.
• Have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, spending time bending, climbing and stooping.
• Must have own tools.
• Must have a valid Driver's License
• Must have own steel toe boots.
• CDL preferred, but not required.
• Welding experience preferred, but not a requirement.
