Diesel Mechanic
LAUNCH TransTechs is seeking Diesel Mechanics to perform maintenance and run diagnostics on fleet of diesel trucks in Madison, WI.
Pay: $17.00 - $23.00 per hour, depending on experience
Shift: M - F, 1st & 2nd shift available
Job Duties Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative maintenance on all fleet equipment to include reefer units and lift gates.
- Diagnose any mechanical, electrical, other breakdown or failure.
- Troubleshoot and perform failure analysis of the components parts and systems.
- Inspect equipment used.
- Accurate completion of repair orders.
- When applicable use welding skills.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Equivalent of a high school diploma or GED & 3+ years of related equipment maintenance and repair.
- Must furnish own tools up to ½ in. drive.
- Must a valid driver's license.
- Must have steel toe boots.
- CDL preferred.
- A/C and ASE certificate preferred.
- Welding and/or fabrication skills and/or experience.
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
Working Conditions:
Shop, office, yard, vehicle environment, may require lifting of 20 to 50 lbs., at least once a day.
