Service Manager

Pay: $28.85 - $40.86 per hour, depending on experience

As a Service Manager, you are part of our unified nationwide Service team and we want you to help build a community that goes beyond your Service Center doors.   This is done by leadership and pride in what we do, it is also accomplished by collaborating outside of your Service Center to continue improving our standards companywide. The Service Manager has complete profit and loss responsibility for the location. The position will work with their Service Support Team and Director of Service to develop standard work, then implement and sustain it with the team, as well as move the team toward reaching company goals.

Required Experience:

• 2 years’ service experience working in the repair of industrial, off-road vehicles, and/or experience in the construction equipment/rental industry.
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Vocational or Military mechanic training, preferably in diesel.
• Must have a driver’s license.
• Ability to develop and train employees in a supportive manner with proven experience in influencing and driving change.

Required Skills:

• Mechanical aptitude and knowledge of basic hydraulic principals, failure analysis, and the use of diagnostic equipment
• Ability to work cooperatively and communicate effectively with co-workers, vendors, and customers
• Strong computer skills including all Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. and stand for 8 consecutive hours
• Strong customer service orientation with a demonstrated sense of urgency
• Resolve problems in a timely manner, gather and analyze information, organize resources and establish priorities for multiple assignments
• Ability to delegate work assignments, give authority to work independently, set expectations and monitor delegated activities
• Able to speak clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations, demonstrate group presentation skills and conduct meetings
• Must have own tools Must have steel toe boots
• Must be able to pass CRIM and DMV Checks
• Must be able to pass DOT Physical
• Must be able to pass FMCSA DOT Drug Screen
