Trailer Refurbishing Technician
LAUNCH TransTechs is looking for a Trailer Refurbishing Technician to complete body repairs on trailers in East Point, GA.
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00/hr., depending on experience
Shift: M – F, 2nd shift
Trailer Mechanic Responsibilities:
- Repair or replace trailer panels, walls, floors, etc. and install TK units, lift gates and work with trailer lighting.
- Complete body repairs, which includes body panel, roof and side rails, flooring, roofs, door conversion, etc. on walk in and reefer trailers.
- Correctly perform repairs and inspections on trailers.
- Perform repairs and modifications on all styles of trailers as assigned.
- Maintain allocated time frame on all repairs and modifications.
- Repair electrical and run trailer wiring.
- Keep work area clean, safe and clutter free.
- Maintaining a service record of all trailer vehicles.
- Appropriately use and handle testing tools and repair equipment.
- Train other employees.
- Any other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Equivalent of High School diploma or GED and minimum of one year related experience on trailers
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. consistently.
- Must have a valid Driver's License to operate applicable company vehicles.
- Must have own tools.
- Must have steel toe boots.
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
