Stationary Equipment / Industrial Maintenance Technician Per Jeremy always looking for candidates, on 1/31/2018 he said that he will have a position opening up soon. Aneta has Cornelius Thomas starting soon, once he starts we can move this order to OOH or close it and wait for Jeremy to give us the go ahead on the future opening. Republic Services - Recycling Center (Contract - Hire 90 Days) Pay: $17-$21 P/H DOE Shift: M-Sun 2PM-12 midnight **Sundays, tech would work on Sundays. Weekends happen frequently but they give the technician two days off. They are flexible during the week in terms of which days the person wants off or will work with the candidate. But just know Sun is something that would be required. Pay: $16-$17 P/H DOE If This Is Helpful - We know from our previous subs industrial maintenance candidates are hard to find in this area. So I spoke with Jeremy about other industries or experience that would translate well. I know that Jeremy is not open to automotive candidates and mentioned the concepts and theories associated with that industry would not translate well for this stationary equiopment industrial maintenance technician role. , I'd be open to someone with some sort of combination of the following, Heavy equipment, machinery preventative maintenance. Conveyor belts Basic electrical Forklifts Production or manufacturing plant maintenance. Position Summary: The Mechanic (Stationary Technician) performs repairs and maintenance on recycling equipment, compact heavy equipment and light trucks to maximize safe and productive operations. Typical repairs include, but are not limited to, routine maintenance and repair of hydraulic systems, brake systems, transmissions, electrical systems, engines, balers, conveyor systems and compactors. Conveyors, Bearings, and drives, heavy equipment, hydraulic systems, welding and fabricating, compactors, balers, Building maintenance Principal Responsibilities: o Diagnoses mechanical problems using charts, diagnostic software, technical manuals and expertise. o Performs repairs and maintenance on recycling equipment, compact heavy equipment and light trucks to maximize safe and productive operations. Typical repairs include, but are not limited to, routine maintenance and repair of hydraulic systems, brake systems, transmissions, electrical systems, engines, balers, conveyor systems and compactors. o Repairs or replaces parts, such as pistons, rods, gears, valves, and bearings, using mechanic's hand tools. o Overhauls or replaces carburetors, blowers, generators, distributors, starters, conveyor belts and pumps. o Reads and interprets VCRs (vehicle condition reports) and/or repair orders, communicates with supervisor and/or equipment operators for clarification of problems. May discuss preventive techniques with equipment users and vehicle drivers to minimize future repairs. o Completes paperwork associated with repairing vehicles, documenting parts usage, and accounting for applied times (work order times versus time card times). o Complete daily consumables report to record hours, fuel and oil usage, and provide information for input in Republic Services Dossier (Fleet Management Software) system. o May repair and install plumbing, electrical and HVAC systems. o Follows all safety policies and procedures. o Performs other job-related duties as assigned or apparent. Preferred Qualifications: o Valid drivers license. o Mechanical or trade school certificate. o Certificate in electronic diagnostics. o Applicable ASE certificates. o Working knowledge of Tier 4 emission systems. o Welding and/or fabrication skills and/or experience. Minimum Qualifications: o High school diploma or G.E.D. o Minimum of 1 year of related equipment maintenance and repair. Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: o Basic computer skills as demonstrated by knowledge of and ability to use MS Excel and word processing applications. o Advanced knowledge in air brakes, tires as evidenced by ASE Certification and at least 1 year of experience as a technician working on applicable equipment. o Advanced training in hydraulics as evidenced by ASE Certification and a minimum of 1 year of experience as a technician working on applicable equipment. o Advanced electrical training as evidenced by ASE Certification and a minimum of 1 year of experience as a technician working on applicable equipment. o Advanced suspension, steering and wheel-end components training, as evidenced by ASE Certification and at least 1 year of experience as a technician working on applicable equipment. o Advanced drive train knowledge as evidenced by ASE Certification and at least 1 year of experience as a technician working on applicable equipment.
