Manager Quality Control Aircraft Maintenance 

 

LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking a Manager Quality Control Aircraft Maintenance  for a Direct Hire opportunity in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities: Manager Quality Control to direct and supervise the activities of the QC Inspectors; authorizing the Required Inspection Items (RII) and Receiving Inspection authorized designees; responsible for establishing and modifying policies, procedures, instructions and information for the Required Inspection Item (RII) and Receiving Inspection process; other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications and requirements:
 

Essential roles and responsibilities of The Manager Quality Control:

  • Manage, direct, and supervise the activities Inspection and RII functioning personnel.
  • Monitor the performance of Inspection activities for Line Maintenance and Heavy Maintenance Checks, including review of completed work packages.
  • Establish and modify policies, procedures, instructions, and information for the Required Inspection Items (RII) process. Monitor the quality and effectiveness of the RII process.
  • Establish and modify policies, procedures, instructions, and information for the Receiving Inspection process.
  • Authorize  RII and Receiving Inspection authorized designees, as required.
  • Manage the performance of nondestructive testing (NDT) program and activities.
  • Establish tooling and test equipment requirements for conducting maintenance operations. Monitor status so as to assure adequacy and currency of such equipment.
  • Assist with investigation and processing of operational issue reports such as Self Disclosures, Compliance Action Letters issued by the FAA and audit reports issued by the Maintenance Quality Assurance department.
  • Conduct all tasks in a safe and efficient manner complying with all local, state, and federal safety and health regulatory requirements, programmatic standards, and with any internal policies and procedures identified 
  • Any other tasks as assigned by the Director Quality Assurance/Quality Control.

The qualifications we are looking for in a Manager Quality Control include:

  • 5 years airline maintenance quality control experience
  • A&P License
  • Ability to read and interpret federal regulations
  • Ability to read and interpret airline technical manuals
  • Excellent organizational, communication, mathematical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to professionally communicate with internal and external associates
  • Highly motivated self-starter able to perform and communicate effectively within a multitasking environment

  • College degree and/or 5 years related quality control supervisory experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • NDT Level 2 or 3 (FP, ET, UT)
