Summary / Objective
The controller will report directly to the CFO and manage the financial operations of the aircraft manufacturing company including budgeting, planning, costing and other financial matters.
Oversees the operations of the Accounting Department, which include AR, AP, General Ledger, and Payroll.

Oversees the operations of the Accounting Department, which include AR, AP, General Ledger, and Payroll.
Essential Functions
- Oversee the activities of the corporate accounting department for the accurate and timely dissemination of financial management reports including, but not limited to, internal and external monthly financial statements, annual audits, and annual budgets.
- Oversee the activities of Accounts Payable, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of invoices, petty cash, employee expense reports, cash control, payroll processing and total corporate payroll tax compliance.
- Oversee the activities of Accounts Receivable, ensuring the accurate and timely management of all receivable components including invoicing and cash receipts application.
- Invoice funding management, including relationship with third party vendors and weekly funding reports.
- Quarter and year-end payroll closing including federal and state reports; and check statistic management.
- Work closely with outside CPA firm to ensure corporate income tax compliance, R and D Tax credit capture, and timely completion of annual audit.
- Maintain schedules of company debt and calculation of interest payments.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.
- Work closely with other departments to establish and maintain systems and controls that validate the integrity of all processes, and data.
- Maintains a documented system of accounting policies and procedures; implement a system of controls over accounting transactions to minimize risk.
- Manage the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of consolidated business results.
- Respond to CFO as assigned with accurate and timely work to facilitate the financial needs of the company.
- Participate in a wide variety of special projects and compile a variety of special reports.
- Recommend benchmarks that will be used to measure the company’s performance.
- Produce the annual budget and forecasts; reports significant budget differences to management.
