DMS Logistics Specialist
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The DMS Logistics Specialist will help coordinate international and domestic shipping. Oversee teardown activities from operational sites where DMS performs business operations to repair vendors & the DMS warehouse. The successful candidate will be highly motivated comfortable engaging others, driving action, updating system transactions, coordinating efforts and effectively communicating requirements and status. The successful candidate will be comfortable working in a dynamic, fast moving work environment with changing priorities being tracked at a detailed level.
• Coordinate projects involving logistics movements of parts by truck, air, and ocean
• Track support equipment between sites
• Report status of parts movements
• Perform shipment reconciliations
• Perform system transactions & review data for completeness and accuracy
• Responsible for performing a wide range of tasks in support of international trade compliance. The position requires use of SAP, MS Excel, Word, Outlook, SNAP-R, ACE and screening tools.
• Prepare shipping packets and complete all required paperwork for internal and external compliance (BOLs, labels, pick tickets and checklists).
• Coordinate with transportation companies to plan, schedule and manage shipments.
• Any other duties assigned as determined by the Sr. Program Manager Operations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of 3 years relevant experience. Materials Management or related field. Prior experience with import & export clearance procedures, & dangerous goods preferred.
Candidate should have
• The ability to be extremely organized, detail oriented, solve problems and be a self-starter.
• Ability to work under fast paced environment and prioritize objectives.
Willingness to travel as required. Excellent communication skills both verbal & written
