LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking experienced Press Brake Operators for a temp to perm opportunity in Marysville, WA
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Performs moderately complex fabrication, using Press Brake to bend various sheet metal parts under minimal supervision. Supports prototype and production builds. Use Manual milling machine to fabricate metal parts. Use Miter saw, power shear and various deburring hand tools.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Reads and interprets blueprints to accurately bend and fabricate parts to specifications.
- Works closely with other departments to solve planning, programming, and quality issues.
- Follows safe operating procedures in the use of all tools and equipment.
- Performs part inspections.
- Lays out, rolls, forms, bends, fabricates sheet metal and extruded metal components.
- Safely sets up and operates shop equipment such as brakes, presses, rolls, shears and hand tools associated with sheet metal fabrication.
- Wears safety equipment as required and complies with safety guidelines and procedures.
- Properly maintains shop tools and equipment.
- Maintains a neat, organized work area and helps with the general daily housekeeping of the department.
- Meets target hours and completes schedules as set by Supervision.
- Maintains regular attendance including being at work, being on time to work and working full shifts.
- Other duties as assigned
- Ability to communicate in English (read, write and verbally communicate).
- Ability to operate and maintain machine shop equipment including press brake, manual mill, and all hand tools.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering documentation.
- Mathematical knowledge and ability to apply towards problem solving.
- Ability to identify and operate proper tools for the task assigned.
- Ability to prioritize and manage time within a schedule driven environment.
- Ability to maintain high quality standards.
- Ability to work overtime as required.
Physical Requirements
- Able to climb and work on step stools and/or ladders.
- Able to lift 25 lbs. without assistance / Able to lift up to 100 lbs. with assistance.
- Able to reach overhead.
- Able to work in a non-dust-free environment.
- Normal or corrected vision (required to perform exacting tasks).
- Full range of motion with both hands.
- Can work in stooping, kneeling, standing position and in cramped areas.
