Project Manager - GSE Engineering
LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking a Project Manager - Engineering for an opportunity in Atlanta, GA.
The Engineering Project Manager serves as project leader for Airport Operations Ground Service Equipment Supply Chain Implementation initiatives. This position manages large and complex divisional and/or cross-divisional projects with moderate scope, schedule, and financial risk.
Qualifications:
• 5+ years relevant work experience in airport operations or project management. • Must have a proven track record of out of the box thinking and an ability to think large scale. • Familiarity with standard Project Management Tools such as Gantt Charts, WBS, Communication Management, Stakeholder Management, et al. is required. • Candidate must be able to successfully execute and manage the scope, schedule and budget of divisional and cross-divisional projects. • Must be willing to travel up to 25% of the time. • Must be performing satisfactorily in current position.
Responsibilities:
Individual must be skilled in managing project change requests by accurately assessing project impact. Directs internal and external working group members and allocates/tracks responsibilities. The Project Manager accurately scopes out the length and difficulty of tasks and maintains the project schedule. As well as schedules and guides the tasks of interdependent deliverables and resources. Reports expenditures, prepares funding allocations and justifies cost discrepancies from planned to actual costs. Additionally, this position develops mitigation responses and strategies to address project risks; serves as liaison and main Point of Contact between the cross-divisional team members. The successful Project Manager must be able to drive collaboration by influencing others and clearly articulating requirements, objectives, and solutions. This individual must be able to operate under minimal supervision and think strategically to overcome obstacles. The successful candidate will be responsible for consistently practicing safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures.
