Building Maintenance Mechanic
Shift:2nd Shift,
Pay: $27 - $35 per hour, depending on experience
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Job Description:
- Troubleshoot, maintain, repair, replace, adjust and modify various types of production equipment including structural metal repair and preventative maintenance duties following standard accepted methods, practices and procedures in emergency and non-emergency situations and ensuring all safety and quality standards are met including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Communicates and interacts with co-workers professionally ensuring questions are answered accurately and in a timely manner. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and perform any duty assigned to best serve the company.
- Duties include:
* Review work schedule, perform safety check on equipment, obtain supplies required to perform the work and prepare for operations. Work from preventative maintenance schedules, various checklists, manuals, diagrams, specifications, production files and instructions.
*Perform regular scheduled mechanical inspections, complete checklists, troubleshoot and make routine repairs as required. Perform major repair work to mechanical or electrical operating units.
* Service and repair production units, repair engines, repair leaks, replace and recharge production units.
*Operate electric arc welding equipment to repair production related issues.
*Maintain required logs, records, checklists and reports, maintain garage tools, equipment and work area in a clean and orderly manner.
* Perform other similar or related operations as assigned or directed. At the end of shift, secure all equipment, perform general housekeeping duties and complete all required paperwork.
Requirements: Bending, Twisting, Kneeling, Reaching(above shoulder level), Standing, Sitting, Stooping, Walking, Crawling, Climbing The following actions may with done with more than 20lbs- Lifting, Pushing, Pulling, Carrying in Dry, Cooler or Freezer warehouse environment. Steel - Toe Shoes/Boots Required
Qualifications and requirements:
- Qualifications: High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience Building maintenance experience in warehouse and / or production environment. Building maintenance experience in warehouse and / or production environment. OSHA Forklift operator certificate preferred
- Work in a safe manner, per company, local, state and federal policies and regulations.
- Ability to speak, write and comprehend the English language in accordance with all safety-related regulations and product specifications to avoid product contaminations in addition to processing paperwork for invoicing, billing, etc.
- Other duties as required to support operations
