LAUNCH TransTechs is seeking a diesel mechanic for maintenance and repair for a fleet company doing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on fleet of tractor trailers. Pay: $30 P/H DOE

Shift: Monday- Friday 8am- 5pm 

Diesel Mechanic Responsibilities:

• You will maintain proficiency in the diagnosis and repair of all assigned Class 8 tractors and trailers.
• Determine vehicle condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests.
• Perform system repairs to include engines, transmission, air and hydraulic systems, tires, refrigeration, drivetrain, steering and suspension, electrical and A/C.
• Perform all preventive maintenance inspections, state and federal mandated safety inspections and complete repairs in accordance with DOT requirements.
• Perform routine maintenance on tractors, trailers, and refrigeration systems.

Qualified Candidates For The Diesel Mechanic Position Will Have Met The Following:

• Required:
  • Equivalent of a high school diploma or GED & 2+ years of related tractor/heavy equipment maintenance and repair.
  • Must possess own tools and steel toe boots.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Must be able to pass a DOT drug test & DOT physical.
• Preferred:
  • ASE certificate
  • CDL, or ability to obtain
  • Trade school diplomas

Working Conditions:

Shop, office, yard, vehicle environment, may require lifting of 20 to 50 lbs., at least once a day.
