Job Title: Buyer I
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Salary Range: $27.50 to $30.50
Summary
Preforming daily procurement activities with the aid of supervision including but not limited to quoting, ERP, and purchase order management. Ensuring quality and on-time delivery according to established company policies and procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following with other duties as assigned
* Source good and services. Prepare bid requests. Preform bid proposal analysis to compare price, lead times, and specifications as applicable.
* Determine supplier selection that best meets program’s requirements with leadership assistance.
* Generates requisitions, stock, and other reports as needed to create purchase orders.
* Creates purchase and change orders in writing to provide to suppliers. Secures order confirmations to ensure delivery meets production schedules.
* Assists in logistical delivery coordination.
* Review / Monitor internal inventory stock as necessary.
* Expedite delivery of goods when necessary with the help of supervision.
* Manage supplier on time delivery.
* Maintain procurement records such as product or services quotes, requisitions, and supplier acknowledgements.
* Solve problems defective or unacceptable goods or services with QC personnel with the help of super vision.
* Obtain technical data or other information from supplier per Program Buyer or Engineering request.
* Look for alternate part numbers to better control cost and lead times with support from Leadership team.
Supervisor
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Requirements
Ability to meet qualifications, execute common business practices, embrace a sense of teamwork. Position requires high school diploma or equivalent. One year of purchasing experience preferred.
Language Skill
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, talk and hear.
