Job Summary:

This person will be responsible for analyzing, designing, and documenting business processes. This role requires expertise in process engineering and documentation methodologies. The ideal candidate will be adept at extracting and validating information from various sources, including existing documentation, subject matter experts, and direct observation.

Key Responsibilities:
 
  • Analyze and design business processes.
  • Document processes clearly and concisely, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Extract information from existing process documentation, subject matter experts, and observation of work activities.
  • Validate the accuracy of all gathered information, ensuring it reflects actual processes.
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure that processes are efficient, effective, and aligned with company goals.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and recommend solutions.
  • Create comprehensive process documentation, including flowcharts, diagrams, and detailed descriptions.
  • Ensure seamless integration of new and existing processes, identifying, and resolving any conflicts or inefficiencies.
  • Conduct assessments to ensure inter-process compatibility and alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Train and support team members in understanding and following documented processes.
  • Maintain and update process documentation as processes evolve.

Must Haves:
 
  • Demonstrated ability of create clear, accurate, and comprehensive process documentation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex processes and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to extract and convey information effectively.
  • Proven ability to work independently with minimal guidance, managing projects and deadlines effectively.
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and quality in all work.
  • Ability to collaborate with various departments and interact with subject matter experts to gather necessary information.
  • Experience in ensuring seamless integration of processes across different functions and departments.
  • Ability to adapt to changing requirements and work in a dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
 
  • Advanced knowledge and practical experience with IDEF0 methodology for function modeling.
  • Extensive experience with Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN) for business process modeling.
  • Proficiency in ArchiMate, an open and independent modeling language for enterprise architecture.
  • Experience with Avolution’s Abacus enterprise architecture software.
  • In depth knowledge of AS9100, the quality management system standard for the aerospace industry.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, including advanced features and functionalities.
