The Quality Source Inspector, (SI) is responsible for performing inspection operations of in-process or completed hardware, including dimensional, and visual inspection.
The source inspection may include reviewing all paperwork relating to the product at hand.
This includes operations such as Final Inspection, Receiving Inspection, Outside processing, and Assembly.
The SI will also verify FAI’s to AS9102 for accuracy and completeness.
The SI must be familiar with hand tools and gauging techniques.
Source Inspection will occur primarily at supplier locations.
The SI will travel to these locations.

- Proven experience in an AS9100 certified manufacturing environment.
- QAM must be familiar with Federal Aviation Regulations, orders, Airworthiness Directives, and Service Bulletins applicable to the production of aviation products and articles.
- Proven ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Familiar with the procurement of raw materials/parts/commodities related to VIP aircraft interiors.
- Ability to work well independently and cross-functionally.
- Strong communication, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
- Experience with MS Outlook, MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Access); Expedite resource planning; Inventory and order processing systems.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Ability to travel as required.
- Ability to work outside of core business hours as required.

- Perform dimensional and visual inspection of aerospace machined components.
- Experience in performing FAI’s – AS9102 (The SI will verify supplier’s FAI, not perform them)
- Experience with hand measurement tools.
- Knowledge of CMM Inspection process (Knowledge of CMM Programming is not required)
- Knowledge and experience with blueprint interpretation
- Perform final inspection (which includes dimensional, visual inspection, surface finish, and assembly inspection)
- Experience with the AS9100 and AS9102 standards inspection planning, tools and processes required.
- Works directly with outside vendors to ensure the goal of customer satisfaction is met.
- Reviews and approves supplier delegations.
- Serves as designated management representative to customers for the Greenpoint Quality System as assigned.
- Plans and conducts internal/external audits.
- Coordinates and facilitates FAA conformity inspection on designated programs as required.
- Interfaces with the FAA/DER/DAR to ensure that all regulatory requirements are met and reflected in the quality system.
- Communicate expectations to vendor and support vendor compliance to those expectations.
- Continually supports, promotes and models Greenpoint corporate values in everyday business
- Conducts 1:1 discussion, annual performance reviews and mid-year reviews and makes recommendations for salary adjustments.
- Review’s performance of subordinates regularly and conducts formal evaluations when scheduled.
- Ensures growth and development of organizational units by providing appropriate training, experiential opportunities and identifying employee goals.
- Partners with leadership on recruiting, hiring, coaching, counseling, and terminations.
- Promotes a “Right First Time” mentality throughout the organization.
- Provides leadership and clarity to minimize problems or conflicts and provides effective methods in developing team-based solutions for problem resolution.
