Interior Mechanics
LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking Interiors Mechanics with aircraft repair experience for an opportunity in Ardmore, Oklahoma.

 

POSITION SUMMARY:
The primary duties of the interior technician are to remove and install cabin interior items such as; Decorative panels and bulkheads, seats, divan units, cabinetry/monuments, flooring and various interior items as required to support maintenance and avionics functions. The interior technician must be versed in troubleshooting defective items and identify possible steps for resolution in accordance to applicable Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations. Responsible to assist the interior lead as directed and provide technical knowledge upon request.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Other duties may be assigned.
  • Remove and Install interior decorative items in accordance with installations drawings, schematics, handbooks, and other technical documents with minimal or no supervision.
  • Responsible for inspecting cabin monuments for defects, document discrepancies disposition/resolution. and submit for proper Must be versed in pattern lay-ups, proper cutting techniques and finish material processing for final installations. 4. 5. 6.
  • Must be familiar with industry standards of cleaning agents and the proper techniques for use.
  • Must be familiar with the application of adhesives and the proper build-up of decorative finish materials.
  • Must be able to differentiate and work with various types of soft good materials. 
  • Responsible for completing all reports, forms, and checklists as required, in accordance with company, government , and Federal Administration (FAA) regulations. Complies with all safety requirements and uses all mandated safety equipment in accordance with company, government and OSHA requirements.
  • Assists coworkers and those in other departments to successfully perform job duties and functions when necessary. 10. Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Requires 3-5 years of experience as an Interior Technician in an installations/modification facility.

 ABILITY:

  • • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, installation drawings or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.


MATH ABILITY:

  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.


REASONING ABILITY:

  •  Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions.


COMPUTER SKILLS:
• Basic word processing, spreadsheets, internet software and e-mail.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
• Must have current driver’s license.

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, outside weather conditions, and risk of electrical shock. KACC precarious places and fumes or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme heat, explosives, and risk of radiation. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

 EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:
• Five (5) years of experience I the aviation industry with focus on interior removals and installations.
