Expeditor
LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking a Expeditor with 1+ years of experience for opportunity in Marana/Tucson, Arizona.-Will support BOTH location.
JOB PURPOSE
To perform functions assigned in the expediting of aircraft parts to hangar floor.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Physical Demands: Requires sitting and standing for extended periods of time. Requires frequent walking, bending, stooping, squatting and reaching above shoulder level, crouching, kneeling, or balancing. Requires occasional lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling weight up to 50 pounds. Requires repetitive hand movement. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
Equipment Operated: Telephone, computer terminal, copy machine, motor vehicles.
Work Location: Office, aircraft maintenance hangar.
Potential Hazards: Exposure to high intensity noise levels, extreme changes in temperature, materials identified on Material Safety Data Sheets, working around moving machinery.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Job Functions:

Coordinates with Maintenance Department to forecast material requirements.
- Coordinates between Maintenance Project Manager, Buyers and Stores to ensure timely delivery of needed materials
- Assists Buyers in Purchasing as necessary
- Checks stock availability on all maintenance material requests.
- Processes turn-ins from Maintenance Department.
- Performs data entry of issues and turn-ins.
- Maintains accountability on permanently issued tools.
- Conducts periodic and annual inventories.
- Serves as a member of the inventory reduction team.
Marginal Job Functions:
- Answers the telephone.
- Received, and signed by Lead, Supervisor or Manager.
- Performs maintenance work such as shop housecleaning.
- Ensure that all work performed is done in a safe manner. Directs activities to protect employees from harm and maintain safe working conditions.
SMS REQUIREMENTS
- Will participate in and support safety initiatives, safe work practices and SMS compliance.
- Will participate in safety activities including the following: immediately reporting hazards, unsafe work practices and accidents/injuries.
- Will follow all safety rules, FAA regulations, PPE compliance and equipment operation requirements.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ability to organize and plan work adhering to deadlines; attention to detail and mathematical skills; ability to read, write, and understand the English language and to follow verbal and written instruction; ability to safely drive and operate a standard shift automotive vehicle and other applicable equipment; ability to work without supervision.
Education/Training: High School diploma or equivalent required.
Experience: One-year work experience preferred.
Certificates/Licenses: Valid driver's license required.
Other: May be required to work at both Marana, AZ and Tucson, AZ locations as business needs dictate.
