- Designing, constructing and testing aircraft
- Designs and supervises the construction of aircrafts and associated parts such as airframe, auxiliaries, communication equipment, controls, fuselage and power plant
- Responsible for total project ownership from a technical standpoint, culminating in the coordination and authoring of various engineering documents
- Will work with high-tech materials that must meet stringent structural, flammability and appearance requirements
- Develops and maintains awareness of pertinent industry activities and technology trends
- Establishes work prioritization and balances multiple concurrent projects
- Coordinates projects with internal and external organizations, including various commodity suppliers
- Practices safety conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures
- Responsible for ensuring the safety program is followed
