Composite Laminator

 

LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking Composite Laminator for an opportunity in AuburnWashington.

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

 

Assembles airplane components by laying composites and materials such as pre-impregnated fiberglass cloth onto molds by performing the following duties

 

Qualifications and requirements:

  • Composite layup experience in clean room environment
  • Cut materials to size and fasten materials to the mold, bagging the composites for oven-curing
  • Lays material on mold which move in and out of the work area on wheeled carts
  • Places core laminations and separators onto lay-up mandrel
  • Ability to adhere to company and customer specifications, work instructions, engineering prints, and work orders.
  • Documents the materials used in the process to maintain traceability
  • Safely handles various regulated materials used in the process.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred. 
  • Knowledge of “shop math” including use of measurement tools
  • Ability to meet deadlines and use of hand tools preferred. 
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to understand and communicate in English at a level necessary for successful job performance.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. required.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to precarious places and toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate requiring hearing protection in certain areas. PPE is provided by AIM based on the employee s position and exposure.
