School Bus Technician

LAUNCH TransTechs is seeking a School Bus Technician to be responsible for repairs to all aspects of vehicles and/or school buses.

Pay: $22.00 per hour

Shift: 2nd, Mon. – Fri.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform repairs that include but not limited to: preventative maintenance inspections and repairs, air and hydraulic brake repairs, warranty procedures, drive-line, steering & suspension, electrical trouble-shooting and AC.
• Complies with Safety and compliance procedures and continues to learn new technology in advanced diagnostics, internal engine and transmission repairs.
• Test-drives vehicles to ensure problem resolution.
• Ensures the maintenance of a clean, safe, effective and efficient work environment including Identifying and making recommendations to resolve unsafe maintenance conditions or practices.
• Maintains work, time and material and equipment maintenance logs and records for self.
• Prepares, completes and submits paperwork on time and correctly.
• Performs road calls and on the road repairs as assigned.
• Other duties may be assigned

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Equivalent of a high school diploma or GED & 2+ years of related maintenance and repair on medium/heavy duty trucks.
• Must furnish own tools and steel toe boots.
• Valid driver’s license.
• CDL, or the ability to obtain.
• ASE, preferred but not required.
