CNC Programmer_Manufacturing Engineer

CNC Programmer_Manufacturing Engineer for an opportunity in Arlington, Washington.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
The CNC Programmer ME designs tooling and manufacturing processes according to guidelines and planning requirements. This position also creates numerical control programs for machining various materials on automated machine tools.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Analyzes drawings, sketches, and design data of part configuration to determine selection of cutting tools and machine cutting parameters.
- Assess labor requirement and develop materials budgets.
- Create quotes and manufacturing plans as needed for proposals.
- Provide complete estimates in proposal forms.
- Review quotes and jobs to verify accuracy of bills of materials and labor requirements.
- Determines method of work holding and optimal machine cutting paths.
- Uses CAD/CAM software to produce numerical code required to machine part.
- Creates instruction sheets and cutter lists for setup and operation of machine.
- Writes program instructions in numerical control symbolic language (G code).
- Revises program to eliminate instruction errors or omissions.
- Observes operation of machine on trial run to prove taped or programmed instructions.
- Coordinate, design and implement machining processes to produce parts per customer requirements.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, and quality personnel as needed on technical issues.
- Develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing methods utilizing knowledge of product design, materials and parts fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, and quality control standards.
- Follows all safety guidelines established by the Company, including proper use of safety equipment and relevant safety procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications and requirements:
- Two years of CAD/CAM numerical control programming experience.
- Siemens NX Experience
- Experience with Aerospace tolerances and parts manufacturing
- Esprit and Solidworks software knowledge a plus.
- Knowledge of general manufacturing engineering and CNC machining practices, manual machining, and tooling/fixturing.
- Experience with set up and run of NC Machines.
- ERP software knowledge a plus.
- Experienced in using office equipment/software.
- Punctuality and ability to work overtime as needed.
- Willingness to learn.
- Must be willing to work any shift.
- Must be willing to work overtime (as requested).
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from the job site.
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
