Cargo Truck Liaison 

LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking a Cargo Truck Liaison for an opportunity in Atlanta, GA.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with sales to plan and coordinate truck ordering and vendor communication for all trucks arriving and departing the Client cargo transportation hubs, including LTL, EUVs, Multi-Stop EUVs, RoundTrips, and Loop Trucks for both Mail and freight.
• Liaise with station operations on truck departures, including escalation of no shows, finding alternative vendors when capacity is scarce, and measure vendor performance in the marketplace.
• Coordinate with ULD team the efficient moves of empty ULDs throughout the network, including the use of intermodal and lower cost options to feed Chicago and other Midwest stations with equipment.
• Coordinate growing number of customer pickups and deliveries with trucking vendors, ensuring compliance to DCOM with electronic truck manifests.
• Manage ad-hoc rates with vendors when contracted vendors are unable to secure necessary capacity.
• Develop processes with local shipping / receiving facilities to maintain a high level of on-time performance.
• Assist with the implementation of GPS on area trucks and be first point of contact for Mail and leadership teams on vendor transit time failures in assigned geographic market.
• Assist and lead various other special projects and responsibilities as assigned in the network and transportation areas of Client Cargo.

Qualifications:

• 2-4 years experience as a transportation planner or very similar experience.
• Intermediate level of Microsoft Office Applications including Excel.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office is required.
• Experience with other applications including transportation management systems or operations systems in a large corporate environment is preferred.
• Excellent human relations skills - we're a people first company and require constant professional communication.
• Strong problem solving skills, ability to multi-task and cope with fast paced environment.
• Strong organizational, analytical and problem solving skills.
• Strong customer orientation, sense of urgency, and problem resolution skills required.
• Must be a self-starter and highly motivated individual.
• Possession of a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university is preferred, but not required
