Aircraft Inspector
LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking A&P Mechanics with experience performing maintenance and repairs on commercial aircraft engines for an opportunity in Coconut Creek, FL, GA.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Aircraft Inspectors will perform inspections covering the repair and/or disassembly of aircraft engines from the customer’s fleet and Third Party Customers coming through the Repair Station. Performs a variety of tasks within a team environment and is self-motivated, driven by results, achievement and in meeting goals.
- Perform inspections of incoming and outgoing engines, components and materials to meet quality control requirements as stated in repair station quality control manual.
- Determine that no defective, unserviceable or non-airworthy condition exists prior to release to service, check all documentation.
- Check incoming engines, components, and materials for hidden damage.
- Perform Shipping and Receiving duties.
- Issue tooling and parts to mechanics.
Qualifications and requirements:
- A&P License required.
- Miimum 5+ years of experience in aircraft and/or jet engine experience.
- Prefer CFM-56-5B, CFM-56-7B and V2500 expereince.
- Thoroughly familiar with all inspection methods, techniques, and equipment used to determine the quality and airworthiness of engines, components, and materials undergoing maintenance, repair, or alteration.
- Familiarize and knowledge of FAA airworthiness directives, service bulletins, manufacturer's maintenance manuals, illustrated parts catalog, and engine shop manuals.
- Proficient with current software packages, Microsoft word, excel, outlook, Power Point, and other similar repair shop repair and tracking systems.
- Able to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, read, write, and speak English.
- Must have the minimum tools as required.
- Must be willing to perform other functions and duties as assigned by managers and supervisors.
- Must be willing to work any shift.
- Must be willing to work overtime (as requested).
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Must have a valid drivers license.
- Must have authorization to work in the U.S.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from the job site.
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen, audiogram and background check.
