CNC Set Up Operator

LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking a CNC Machinist for an opportunity in Goldsboro, North Carolina.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Understand all functions of the control unit required for operation of the machine attended or not, and perform the necessary input changes to produce a satisfactory part.

• Load and unload parts, bar feed or fixtures. Monitor the operation of the machine or machines in which he/she is responsible for; changing tools as required to maintain or improve the dimensional accuracy, quality and efficiency of the program relative to the part.

• Read and interpret blueprints, program sheets and terminology relating to the operation of the machine and use precision measuring equipment to check machine parts.

• Troubleshoot potential machine/machining problems and assist on repairs as necessary.

• Manufacture quality products.

• Keep various records as required.

• Work with computerized equipment, as necessary.

• Maintain good housekeeping and safety standards, and be quality conscious.

• Maintain good attendance record, be self-motivated, with a willingness to learn.

Qualifications and requirements:

• Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be self-motivated and work well as a team with supervision and co-workers.
• Must be dependable and have good attendance.
• Must be willing to work any required overtime.
• Must have a hi-lo license or ability to obtain a license.
• Must be willing to perform other functions and duties as assigned by managers and supervisors.
• Must be willing to work any shift.
• Must be willing to work overtime (as requested).
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from the job site.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
