3rd Shift Production Associate


We are looking for three 3rd Shift Production Associate's for a job in Palatine, IL. The Production Assocaite would be working with a heavy plastics company within the automotive industry that has been around for close to 65 years. This is a long term role with the opportunity to go direct after 4 months. 

 

Shift: 11 pm - 7 am

Pay: $12.50 an hour

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • A rate of 100% is to be maintained on all jobs that are proven capable of doing 100% with a min. of 95% on most machines and processes including sorting. Produces quality parts daily.
  • Assures required safety equipment is worn in designated areas. Follows all safety rules & guidelines. Works in a safe manner at all times.
  • Properly completes paperwork (move ticket, job card, etc.) as required.
  • Reads and understands OJT Process Sheets and utilizes them with the help of the Team Leader, Group Leader and/or OJT Trainer.
  • Operates presses at a consistent rate of 100% with a min. of 95% on most machines and processes including sorting.
  • Works with all team members in a positive manner that encourages cooperation in achieving plant goals and customer
    satisfaction.
  • Reports any process changes to Team Leader, Group Leader and/or Set-Up immediately.
  • Reports all injuries, regardless of how minor, and/or safety incidents to Team Leader or Group Leader immediately.
  • Follow all 5S principles. Maintains a neat and clean work area by using good housekeeping methods and 5 S principles.
  • Performs packaging requirements as needed by following the requirements on OJT process sheet.
  • Maintains regular checks on product per Quality Control Plan.
  • Maintains proper identification of scrap required, using information from OJT process sheets and documenting this information on the job card.
  • Increase customer satisfaction (internal and external) by participating in identifying customer needs, surveying customer satisfaction, involving customers in continuous process improvements, etc.
  • Contributes to continuous process improvement by:
    • Understanding the concepts of process, process variation & waste identification
    • Active involvement in formal & informal process improvement initiatives and suggestions
    • Reports quality issue(s) & high scrap to trainer or Supervisor immediately.
    • Achieve certification on jobs that have been trained to.
  • Follow all company policies & procedures, including Associate Conduct behaviors & expectations.
  • Perform all other job related tasks as required as assigned by Manager or Supervisor.
