Commodity Manager

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • SAP knowledge is not required, but a big plus

     

  • Supports strategic partnerships of the supply base to meet the company’s procurement requirements in terms of quality, delivery and cost.

     

  • Supplier Management

     

  • Project management

     

  • Supports strategic partnerships of the supply base to meet the company’s procurement requirements in terms of quality, delivery and cost.

     

  • Activities related to ensuring on time delivery as well as Internal communications on OTD Quality and metrics

     

  • Purchase order placement for operations including chemicals, machinery, equipment, services and tooling for NPI programs

     

  • Assemble RFQ packages, analysis of bid responses, price negotiation, delivery and business terms

     

  • Create and maintain tracking visuals and reports for on-time delivery and master scheduling for fabrication and machining suppliers

     

  • Identify, execute and support cost savings initiatives for non-product purchasing

  • Performs other duties as required.

Qualifications and requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering or related curriculum.
  • Must be willing to perform other functions and duties as assigned by managers and supervisors.
  • Procurement experience in a manufacturing environment preferred, including working with supplier contractual agreements, legal departments, and legal term knowledge.
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain management
  • Must demonstrate working proficiency with Microsoft Office Products Inventory management 
  • Manufacturing resources planning (MRP), demand planning, and capacity management 
  • SAP Preferred
  • Must be willing to work any shift.
  • Must be willing to work overtime (as requested).
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from the job site.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
