Commodity Manager
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
SAP knowledge is not required, but a big plus
Supports strategic partnerships of the supply base to meet the company’s procurement requirements in terms of quality, delivery and cost.

Project management
Supports strategic partnerships of the supply base to meet the company’s procurement requirements in terms of quality, delivery and cost.
Activities related to ensuring on time delivery as well as Internal communications on OTD Quality and metrics
Purchase order placement for operations including chemicals, machinery, equipment, services and tooling for NPI programs
Assemble RFQ packages, analysis of bid responses, price negotiation, delivery and business terms
Create and maintain tracking visuals and reports for on-time delivery and master scheduling for fabrication and machining suppliers
Identify, execute and support cost savings initiatives for non-product purchasing
- Performs other duties as required.
Qualifications and requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering or related curriculum.
- Must be willing to perform other functions and duties as assigned by managers and supervisors.
- Procurement experience in a manufacturing environment preferred, including working with supplier contractual agreements, legal departments, and legal term knowledge.
- Strong knowledge of supply chain management
- Must demonstrate working proficiency with Microsoft Office Products Inventory management
- Manufacturing resources planning (MRP), demand planning, and capacity management
- SAP Preferred
- Must be willing to work any shift.
- Must be willing to work overtime (as requested).
- Must have reliable transportation to and from the job site.
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
