3rd Shift Quality Lab Technician
A large client of ours in Palatine is looking for a 3rd Shift Quality Lab Technician. It is a 4 Month contract to direct role starting off at $17p/hour. Candidate must have a plastics background and open to working/training on 1st or 2nd shift for the first couple of months. Job description is as follows:
POSITION SUMMARY
Ensures that Intec products are validated under specified/required process parameters ensuring quality products in an efficient and safe manner utilizing quality lab resources.
Essential Functions Statement(s)
- Performs Quality Assurance utilizing Quality Lab resources as follows:
-Performing dimensional reports using CMM, optical, hand tools & gages
-Performing visual aspects using blue prints and master pieces for validation
-Performance test /audits per Control Plan and Work Instructions
- Perform first piece inspection at set-up by assuring dimensional, gage and visual compliance according to each Control Plan part number.
- Monitor Processes and appraising the completion and disposition of quality documentation required by compiling and summarizing for example SPC charts, data collection sheets & audit reports, to ensure that they are under parameters established on Control Plan, Op WI (OJT) and Process cover sheet.
- Reports any discrepant conditions or deviations from International Standards and Intec Quality Management System through active involvement / communications to responsible parties to ensure corrective action.
- Provides support in other areas as directed by Intec Palatine Leadership.
- Promotes and encourages the quality of parts produced by actively participating in the implementation of Continuous I
- Increases customer satisfaction (internal and external) by participating in identifying customer need, surveying customer satisfaction and involving customers in continuous process improvements.
- Contributes to continuous process improvement by: Understanding the concepts of process, process variation, waste identification and active involvement on formal continuous improvement teams.
