Tractor Trailer Technician
Shift: 2nd Shift
Pay: $24 - $28 per hour, depending on experience
Tractor Trailer Technician Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, rebuild and repair fleet diesel equipment (tractors, trailers, refrigeration units).
- Complete preventative maintenance of fleet diesel equipment.
- Complete thorough documentation for work orders of repairs and preventative maintenance.
- May be required to operate a company vehicle to diagnose and repair equipment as part of a road-side service call.
- May participate in regular meetings with customer.
- Ensure equipment has required licensing and registration.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Install, replace, and repair onboard computers and/or cameras.
- Work in a safe manner, per company, local, state and federal policies and regulations.
- Following all company policies and procedures, particularly those involving safety.
- Completing each repair job in a timely, efficient, and professional manner.
- Managing your workload effectively.
- Train other employees as needed.
- Any other duties as assigned.
Qualified Candidates For The Tractor Trailer Technician Position Will Have Met The Following:
- Equivalent of High School Diploma or GED.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license, CDL preferred.
- Completion of a technical school or equivalent is preferred.
- Minimum 2+ yrs. related maintenance & repairs experience.
- Excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Acceptable motor vehicle record in compliance with Department of Transportation regulations.
- Must provide your own set of tools.
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Ability to work any schedule, including nights, weekends and holidays
Ability to frequently lift, push and/or pull weights in excess of 50 pounds, occasionally lift, push and/or pull weights in excess of 100 pounds.
Some travel may be required.
ASE Certifications (Including Master-T) a plus!
