Quality Inspector 

 

LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking experienced Inspectors for an opportunity in Algona, Washington.

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

 

Inspector is able to fully read and interpret complex blueprints and engineering documentation and apply an advanced knowledge of manual tools. Quality Inspector is capable of a wide range of inspection activities including the inspection of machined parts, assemblies, raw material, heat treat, and outside processing, along with basic dimensional work, and bushing and bearing installation.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Perform in process and completed inspection of fastener installation, sealant, raw material, machined parts, sheet metal parts, bushings, bearings and standards, simple assemblies, and outside processing (NDT, finishes, finish coatings, thermal processing, etc.)
  • Verify part identification and configurations
  • Document FAI reports
  • Document non-conformances
  • Organize incoming inspection work by identifying work priority
  • Identify and separate non-conforming product from conforming product using basic knowledge and understanding of Geometric Dimension and Tolerancing methods per ASME 14.5, and common inspection measuring equipment including, but not limited to, surface plates, micrometers, height gages, radius gages, protractors, profilometers, bore gauges, and dial indicators as necessary to complete assignments
  • Verify tool calibration


Skills: 

  • Previous Inspection experience required
  • Experience in reading and correctly interpreting complex blueprints and engineering requirements
  • Experience in applying shop math skills such as trigonometry, ability to calculate dimensions, set sine plate, etc., and GD&T comprehension and application
  • Basic understanding of BQMS (Business Quality Management System) processes and procedures
  • Basic understanding of machine shop and aerospace assembly terminology and nomenclature
  • Basic PC skills, including Microsoft Office and the ability to use MRP or ERP systems after instruction
  • Fully experienced with all basic and advanced manual inspection tools and processes
