Indirect Buyer

LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking a Indirect Buyer for an opportunity in Chula Vista, CA.

Duites and Responsibilities:

• Understanding of procurement processes, standards, and operational plans, including RFXs, negotiation preparations, and cost analysis. 
• Carries out activities associated with purchasing goods, materials, supplies, and services to ensure terms are in the organization’s best interest. 
• Prepares purchase orders, approves payments, and negotiates prices to ensure the procurement process goes smoothly, under general guidance. 
• Compiles price proposals, financial reports, and other data and information to provide input on reasonable prices. 
• Prepares RFx and bid packages to take on new accounts. 
• Monitors contract performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations. 
• Looks at TCO when evaluating suppliers.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• 2+ years experience in supply chain/procurement.
• Bachelors in Business Administration, Economics or Industrial Engineering preferred.
• Previous experience of all tasks involved in purchase order creation and vendor relations preferred.
• Must be able to work in and fully support a team environment.
• Office application knowledge such as MS Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Excellent communication skills with an ability to effectively interact at various levels within an organization with a logical and organized approach.
• Knowledge/experience in working with ERP platforms; SAP highly desired.
• Able to work in a fast paced high volume environment.
• Ability to work well within cross-functional teams.
