2nd Shift Quality Inspector In-Process

POSITION SUMMARY  

Ensures that Intec products are running under specified/required process parameters ensuring quality products in an efficient and safe manner.

Essential Functions Statement(s) 

1. Performs Quality Assurance by auditing dimensions, visual aspects and performance tests/audits through the utilization of Control Plans and Work I
2. Ensure that after every stopped machine that a set-up activities is handled.
3. Perform first piece inspection at set-up by assuring compliance to process parameters established.
4. Monitor Processes and appraising the completion and disposition of quality documentation required by compiling and summarizing for example SPC charts, data collection sheets & audit reports, to ensure that they are under parameters established on Control Plan, Op WI (OJT) and Process cover sheet.
5. Reports any discrepant conditions or deviations from International Standards and Intec Quality Management System through active involvement / communications to responsible parties to ensure corrective action.
6. Provides support in other areas as directed by Intec Palatine Leadership.
7. Promotes and encourages the quality of parts produced by actively participating in the implementation of Continuous I
8. Increases customer satisfaction (internal and external) by participating in identifying customer need, surveying customer satisfaction and involving customers in continuous process improvements.
9. Contributes to continuous process improvement by: Understanding the concepts of process, process variation, waste identification and active involvement on formal continuous improvement teams.

SKILLS & ABILITIES 

Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree         Experience: One year of inspection experience required.

Other Requirements 

Maintains a positive spirit of cooperation and teamwork. Have flexible hours or work overtime to complete the job as required. Be a self-starter that can work with minimum supervision. Must be able to read, write & comprehend English. Must have basic math skills. Be willing to participate in cross-developmental training (production, quality, administrative, materials).

5. Able to use CMM, Optical comparator, calipers, height gage, microscope, force gage, and other equipment as necessary.
