Liaison Engineer

 

LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking an Liaison Engineer for an opportunity in Atlanta, GA

 

Position Summary

 

Qualifications:

  • Four year accredited undergraduate engineering degree (Aeronautical/Aerospace, Mechanical) required.
  • At least 2 years of specific experience in the design and analysis of aircraft structural repairs. Strong background in Structural Analysis, including Statics, Mechanics of Deformable Bodies, Materials Science and Fracture Mechanics.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Adaptable and flexible.
  • Problem-solving background with strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with all levels of maintenance and engineering.
  • Ability to perform and excel in a stressful environment with short deadlines.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Should be able to comprehend and be knowledgeable in FAA regulations.
  • Should possess a thorough understanding of maintenance requirements, processes, and procedures.
  • Must be a strong supporter of Six Sigma and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Must be currently performing satisfactorily in present position.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, Access) and AutoCAD (or similar CAD software). DER/ODA members preferred. 

    Responsibilities: 
  • Oversees the development, design and production of repair, modification, process and inspection documentation in support of Company's ATL hangar maintenance activities.
  • Assist in the development of structural analysis for aircraft repairs and damaged aircraft structure.
  • Evaluate and interpret AD, FAR, and Delta policy requirements to ensure compliance in all engineering documentation.
  • Aid in analyzing and correcting problems which hamper the maintenance support activities of the department.
  • Practices safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures.
