Aircraft Inspector - Helicopter

 

LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking an Aircraft Inspector with commercial civilian helicopter maintenance experience for an opportunity in Fort Worth, Texas.

 

Job Summary:

 

The Aircraft Inspector completes evaluations of aircraft, engines and components to determine their condition against established standards and performs inspections of work completed by Aircraft Maintenance Technicians (AMT) to verify compliance with approved data. He/She performs work within budgeted time and within FAA and customers’ standards of quality. The Aircraft Inspector is responsible for the effectiveness of inspection function, ensuring compliance with FAA Regulations and Customer requirements, and meeting customer quality expectations.

  • Perform inspection duties utilizing engineering drawings and orders, work instructions, technical specifications, QA procedures and instructions, and other related documents.
  • Perform preliminary and progressive inspections of aircraft structure and systems, verify functional operation, final inspections, inspect for FOD and verify paperwork. Witness, verify and document specified repair process steps.
  • Perform conformity/first article inspections to ensure compliance with FAA approved procedures.
  • Perform transfer and consolidated inspections.
  • Ensure the proper use and storage of area tools and equipment.
  • Conduct work in a manner that enhances own/other employees health and safety, product safety and promotes risk reduction; participate openly in safety-related event investigations, and immediately report workplace hazards and make suggestions for control; cooperate and contribute toward the overall success of the Safety program at the local level.

Qualifications and requirements:

  • Must have a minimum of 5 years helicopter maintenance experience.
  • Civilian helicopter maintenance experience required.
  • Must have the minimum tools as required.
  • Must be willing to perform other functions and duties as assigned by managers and supervisors.
  • Must be willing to work any shift.
  • Must be willing to work overtime (as requested).
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from the job site.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
