Laminator / Manufacturing Technicians
LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking Assembly / Manufacturing Techs for an opportunity in Auburn, Washington.
Job Description
Assembles airplane components by laying composites and materials such as pre-impregnated fiberglass cloth onto molds by performing the following duties Responsibilities Include
- Cut materials to size and fasten materials to the mold, bagging the composites for oven-curing
- Lays material on mold which move in and out of the work area on wheeled carts
- Places core laminations and separators onto lay-up mandrel
Qualifications and requirements:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are a representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. - 2+ years of experience in aircraft structures or interior removal and replacement.
- Ability to use power and hand tools (i.e. scissors, box knives, glue/heat guns, scraper)
- Basic understanding of process specifications
- Able to work with/around fiberglass, resins, etc
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to adhere to company and customer specifications, work instructions, engineering prints, and work orders.
- Documents the materials used in the process to maintain traceability
- Safely handles various regulated materials used in the process.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Knowledge of “shop math” including use of measurement tools
- Ability to meet deadlines and use of hand tools preferred.
- Ability to understand and communicate in English at a level necessary for successful job performance.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. required.
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
