LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking a Water Strider for an opportunity in SumnerWashington.

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

 

Trimmers trim and debur fabricated components using hand and power tools, and measuring equipment; conforming to Standard Work Instructions (SWI) provided.

  • Apply a resin coat after trim and debur to seal the component using instructed methods to ensure safety.
  • Sign off on all work performed, reporting on all production discrepancies and schedule concerns to the supervisor.
  • Meet schedules and time allowances for production control requirements.
  • Follow established departmental policies, processes, objectives, safety procedures, quality improvement and environment control standards.
  • Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promoting safety in the workplace.
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. Specific Job Skills:
  • Ability to read and understand detailed instructions.
  • Excellent eye/hand coordination.
  • Skilled in the use of hand and power tools such as routers, band saws, and sanders.
  • Capable in utilizing measuring equipment such as scales and calipers.
  • Able to work with others to complete assignments.
  • Possess the ability to perform mathematical calculations.

Qualifications and requirements:

 

  • 2+ years of experience in aircraft structures or interior removal and replacement.
  • Ability to adhere to company and customer specifications, work instructions, engineering prints, and work orders.
  • Documents the materials used in the process to maintain traceability
  • Safely handles various regulated materials used in the process.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred. 
  • Knowledge of “shop math” including use of measurement tools
  • Ability to meet deadlines and use of hand tools preferred. 
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to understand and communicate in English at a level necessary for successful job performance.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. required.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
