Automation Engineer
LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking an Automation Engineer for an opportunity in Riverside, CA
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs relentless root cause analysis to eliminate downtime on CNC equipment and robots.
- Assists maintenance personnel in diagnosing equipment issues, addressing machine alarms/faults, and developing preventative maintenance plans.
- Works on projects to assist in the technical planning, system integration, verification and validation for CNC and robotic systems.
- Creates and maintains standard work for machine operators and engineering processes, including verification and certification procedures.
- Seeks to identify possible problems presented in applicable projects that may cause a delay or exceed budget.
- Contributes to finding appropriate solutions.
Qualifications and requirements:
Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace or similar discipline, with 5-7 years experience in an engineering role supporting CNC equipment and robots.
Expertise with the operation of CNC equipment with Siemens 840D controllers, Fanuc 16i, Kuka robots, Fanuc robots, etc.
Excellent verbal and written communications with all levels of the organization.
Fluency in reading, interpreting and creating electrical, mechanical, and fluid drawings/schematics.
Experience with programming languages such as Python or C+
- Basic knowledge of SQL databases ad computer networking
- Must be willing to perform other functions and duties as assigned by managers and supervisors.
- Must be able to verify U.S. Person Status as defined by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)
- Must have reliable transportation to and from the job site.
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- May require travel for equipment support/training.
