Long Term Contract Through TransTechs
Shift: Shop Hours 7 AM to 7 PM Monday through Sunday.
Pay: $22-$30.50 - we dictate pay rate, see below
Holiday pay (6) and PTO paid (6)
* DOT DT and Physical for CDL holders and NON-DOT 5 Panel DT only for regular DL
*Tech will stay employees for TransTechs long-term. Ruan has currently 5 customers in this market and looking for manpower to handle the work. Techs will receive benefits from, similar to City of St Louis.
* CDL highly preferred

o 1-year* minimum full-time experience in a commercial or fleet maintenance and repair shop

o Well Qualified - formal training or work experience on all systems of medium- and heavy-duty trucks including diesel engines, air brakes, and hydraulic systems diagnostics and repair -and-;
o 4-years* minimum full-time experience in a commercial or fleet maintenance and repair shop -or-;
o be current in a minimum of 2 Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) heavy truck series certifications -and- 2-year minimum full-time experience in a commercial or fleet maintenance and repair shop
o Up to $26.50/h
o Highly Qualified - formal training or work experience on all systems of medium- and heavy-duty trucks including diesel engines, air brakes, and hydraulic systems diagnostics and repair -and-;
o 7-years* minimum full-time experience in a commercial or fleet maintenance and repair shop-or-;
o current ASE Master Truck Technician status -and- 2-year full-time experience in a commercial or fleet maintenance and repair shop
o Up to $30.50

Job Summary
Perform intermidiate level repair and maintenance of company tractors, trailers, and eqiupment through proper diagnostics, troubleshooting, and use of hand tools, precision measuring instruments and machine tools with minimum assistance. Directed by others with general supervision. Must provide your own tools per Ruan`s tool listing requirements.
Essential Functions
Perform preventive maintenance inspections as specified, using mechaincs hand tools and variety of shop equipment, which may include refrigeration, hydraulic jacks or hoits, welding and air pressure equipment, and other equipment as necessary.
Diagnose mechanical problems and perform mechanical repairs and adjustments: liftgate, PTO, emmissions, air conditioning/heating, cab, instruments, brakes, frame, steering, suspension, tires, wheels, drive train, electrical system, engine system, trailer, refrigeration, cryogenic trailers and pumping equipment, live floor trailers, and other components which may need repair with minimal assistance.
Complete work orders, charge parts, time cards, and other required documents using computer, manuals, parts book, and maintenance codes.
Wash equipment as needed.
Drive service vehicle to pick up parts from outside vendors and respond to road calls, based on the operational needs per location.
Drive vehicles within company property and drive on public roads as required.

Attend all saftey required meetings and perform all work as per OSHA, State and Federial guide lines.
May assist in communication with outside vendors, customers and mangement to ensure proper work flow, sourcing of outside parts/labor estimates, and status of units within the shop.
Requirements:
3+ Years of Experience
Demonstrated competency of mechanical experience working on a variety of tractor / trailer, medium / heavy equipment required. Minimum of 1 year DOT Inspections required.
DOT brake certification and 1 year DOT Inspections required (Prior military must obtain DOT inspection and brake certification requirements within 3 months of employment).
Non-CDL candidates must be at least 18 years of age, have the ability to pass a Non-DOT drug screen clean driving record, no drug/alcohol convictions in the last 3 years whereas CDL candidates must be at least 22 years of age, have the ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screen, clean driving record, no drug/alcohol convictions in the last 7 years. Must have clean criminal history (felony charges and/or convictions will be reviewed on an individual basis). Must have the ability to use and understand service manuals (paper and on-line) for reference, procedures, wiring schematics and torque specs. Must be able and willing to take self-paced on-line training programs and certification tests from various manufacturers as required. Must be proficient using volt/ohm meter and proficient reading schematics to make proper electrical diagnosis and repair. Must be able to use diagnostic computer or read and clear fault codes and able to diagnose and make efficient repairs following troubleshooting trees. Must possess a positive work attitude and be able to work closely with other technicians/drivers/management and vendors to solve problems efficiently. Must provide your own hand tools, as per Ruan`s minimum required listing for each position level. (Recommended that you provide an itemized listing of tools for security and insurance coverage by Ruan. This listing must be reconciled at least annually.) Ruan currently covers up to $10K worth of insurance for tools.
