RF Engineer

 

LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking a RF Engineer Level 4 for an opportunity in Owego, NY.

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

 

Conducts or participates in the research, design, development, and testing of COTS or custom computing hardware and/or other electrical components. Develops designs for the installation of components and assemblies into chassis, racks, cabinets,workstations, customer facilities, and/or shelters. Plans, directs, reviews and coordinates preparation of project documentation to ensure customer contract and company requirements are met. Prepares specifications, evaluates vendors, and analyzes test reports. The successful candidate will have hands on experience with the development of EW systems/subsystems. This is a senior position that requires a highly motivated individual with demonstrated exemplary communication skills as well as customer interface experience. It is not unusual to have multiple concurrent responsibilities, so being highly organized and having a follow-through mindset is critical. This role will be expected to perform the following duties:

  • Responsible for the electrical design and development of Electronic Warfare Products
  • Support proposal capture and development activities
  • Support Internal and External design reviews
  • Be focused on maintaining the integrity of current EW programs as well as leading strategic technical direction for the Organization 

Qualifications and requirements:

  • Good communication skills, both written and oral
  • Strong Leader that is able to lead diverse teams
  • Experience with designing/developing/integrating EW systems
  • Experience leading complex hardware development programs through design, qualification and production delivery
  • Able to obtain DoD Security Clearance
  • Development work in support of advanced state-of-the-art RF and Microwave circuit design for communications and electronic warfare systems.
  • Design, test, and evaluate RF, analog, and digital hardware and test equipment.
  • Extensive experience with laboratory work/testing and with analog, RF, and digital hardware, including practical experience with network analyzers, logic analyzers, and spectrum analyzers.
  • ADS Circuit Modelling, Ansoft HFSS, Sonnet, Microwave Office, Matlab, Spice, Wireless Communication, Network analyzer experience, Spectrum analyzer experience
  • Must be willing to work overtime (as requested).
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from the job site.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
