Entry Level Engineering Technician
LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking a Entry Level Engineering Technician for an opportunity in Phoenix, AZ.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supports day-to-day engineering operations, including testing, material tracking, auditing, simple trouble shooting, material evaluation, project follow-through, data recording, and some data compilation.
- Assists in creation of new drawings and/or specifications for projects of low complexity.
- After a brief period of orientation, performs limited assignments that are part of an ongoing engineering program under direction from lead technicians. Activities may include design, testing, production, and operation of equipment and systems.
- Expected to provide verbal input and suggestions to project engineers and lead technicians.
- Works within structured routines using reference materials and assistance from more senior staff readily available.
Qualifications and requirements:
- High School Diploma
- Knowledge and previous experience utilizing and understanding of specs and drawings (blueprints).
- Strong interpersonal skills and possess ability to work as a team member(s).
- Must have the skills to use a variety of materials, tools and/or equipment, some of which require precise calibration and readings.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize both daily issues and longer term projects.
- Strong written and verbal skills.
- Basic computer skills (e.g. data entry, email, machine interface etc)
- Must be willing to perform other functions and duties as assigned by managers and supervisors.
- Must be able to verify U.S. Person Status as defined by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)
- Must have reliable transportation to and from the job site.
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
