Logistics Specialist
LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking a Logistics Specialist for an opportunity in Chula Vista, CA.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Tactical Logistics operations
-Ad-hoc transportation management request to include shipment routing, tracking & tracing and escalation management
-Logistics administrative support to include freight claims, user training and vendor management
-Implementation support of Collins - Aerostructures Logistics Strategy
-Lead assigned Collins - Aerostructures Ad-Hoc Logistics projects
Tactical logistics analytics
-Ad-hoc transportation rate quote request, established pricing comparison and bid analysis
-Create logistics reporting and management of database for internal customers
Logistics administration
-Conduct oversight over FBAP and LLP suppliers to ensure proper billing allocation and resolution
-Process FBAP provider billing exception queue
-To support RCCA initiatives and support continuous improvement activities
Additional administrative tasks
-Support additional professional services commodity project and task work as assigned by the manager
Preferred qualifications
- 3 years in a logistics management role Strong analytical, numerical and reasoning abilities Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Results oriented, with a strong bias for action
- Able to thrive in a dynamic, fast paced work environment
- Strong project management skills International trade compliance knowledge (preferred) Technology skills -Microsoft Office to include advanced Excel and Access -ERP (SAP preferred) -Tableau
